Join us for a conversation with Eric Sarwar and Tim Sheridan exploring ideas for ministry and mission with and among Punjabi and Sikh communities. Many of us live, work, and serve in diverse communities and could benefit by thinking creatively and collectively about neighbourhood missions.
Dr. Sarwar, the lead pastor of two Indian-Pakistani churches in California, holds a PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, had a post-doctorate research fellowship at the Overseas Ministries Study Center at Princeton Theological Seminary, and is finishing his new book, History of Punjabi Christianity: Theology, Missiology and Doxology (1856-2026) with Langham Publishing. Currently. He is the Founding President of the Tehillim School of Church Music & Worship in Pakistan. Additionally, he has a chapter on “Praise and Proclamation in Polycentric Worship Music in North India/Pakistan” in the upcoming volume, Mission in Polycentric Perspective by IVP in 2027.
Dr. Timothy M. Sheridan, the Director of Church Planting with Resonate Global Mission, has a PhD from Stellenbosch University, was also a professor of congregational theology at the Missional Training Center, Phoenix. He has served in pastoral ministry for over twenty years in both the United States and Canada. Along with Michael Goheen, he published Becoming a Missionary Church: Leslie Newbigin and Contemporary Church Movements with Baker Academic in 2022 — it went on to win the 2023 Word Guild Award of Merit (Academic).
