Learn About Our Faith
Maybe you went to Sunday school and boys/girls club, attend church services and youth group, pray before meals and do family devotions. Or maybe you are new to the whole “Christian” thing and want to know more…
Do you know what YOU believe? What your church believes?

Grades 9 & 10: ”HC and Me” — a study of the 1st half of the Heidelberg Catechism
Grades 11 & 12: ”What We Believe” — a DVD directed study of the Belgic Confession
At Langley Immanuel we envision this being an opportunity to both learn about and discuss our Christian faith, and to apply it to real life. For the 2020-2021 season, classes usually start in October and continue weekly. Due to the current pandemic, stay tuned for next steps.
A catechism is a summary or exposition of what we believe the Bible teaches. In our Reformed tradition, catechism has generally referred to the study of the historical confessions of the Reformed Church such as: The Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort.
Periodically our Head Pastor leads a series of classes intended for anyone who wants to dig deeper into our Christian beliefs, big theological questions, history, and even some of the hot topics of today. It’s often a small group setting where all questions are welcome!
